My hair grows faster than anybody I know... I can change styles 4 times a year! It's probably because I always cut it during the rising moon... Like a week before the full moon. I tried once a week after the full moon, and my hair was very slow to grow, I liked the style I had chosen anyway. But then again, it's me. It's possible it doesn't work with everybody... I learned that trick by my grand-mother, who was a native Canadian and she had a ton of tricks like that one.

Yes, wash it every day. The more you wash it, the less dirt and oils get built up in your hair follicles, leaving them more room to push out and grow. Also, brush you hair each night before bed and start at the scalp to stimulate the roots. Also, taking Vitamin E supplement everyday will help.

Vitamins- I know that Folic Acid makes your hair grow thicker and nail stronger. I am not sure if it makes your hair grow faster. Also, regular scalp massage can help.

Knox gellatin is the nutritional additive that will help--add it to juice or a smoothie or applesauce or something. Also, trimming it 1-2 days before or during the full moon works wonders--not sure why but I have seen it myself several times.
