on domestic (US) flights, CO2 canisters can be in checked (not carried on) baggage IF you can unscrew the top to show that it does NOT contain any compressed gases. as for paintball guns, they must be declared as firearms and treated as such.

Wouldn't suggest the co2 canister on the plane at all, as for if your planning on taking the paintball gun, put it in checked baggage and let the airline agent know, I don't know the rules on one of them in checked baggage but most definitely not as carry on, you would get processes as if you brought a new one, and forget making that flight.
