Don't really know how close you and your cat is, but if isn't in the kitties nature to bite chances are he/she is really hurting and a trip to the vets should be considered.
I'm pretty close with my cats and never had this problem, usually they will growl at the other cats when they come near, and when I want to check my sick kitty out usually all they want to do is get away and not be bothered.
As far as the bite wash it out good with soap and water pour on some hydrogen peroxide and finally put some anti bacterial ointment on like Neosporin, that should do the trick.

Clean the cut now!!! clean it w/ like some good antiseptic. then if u start to feel nausiea or have a bad headache and have a red line going up ur arm or leg or wherever it bit u go the the ER like now!! it's probably blood poisioning. if not and u don't feel sick at all just keep it clean and keep some kinda healing cream (like Neosporen) on it so it doesn't leave a mark. Also if the cat is really sick u need to get it to the vet ASAP.

Take your cat to the vet to have her checked out...and you should clean the bite and if she broke the skin, you may want to consult a doctor since your cat is sick. But I'd clean the wound and take the cat to the vet first.

Wash your wound with hot soap and water. Antibacterial if you have it since you don't know what is making your cat sick. Then get the animal to a vet if it lasts longer than 24hrs. Good Luck!

is he vaccinated for rabies if yes then simply go to the doctor to get put on antibiotics or it will get seriously infected cat bites are bad!!, If it is not vaccinated then you need to either euthanize it and have it tested for rabies or quarinteen it for 10 days and if it dies in those 10 days then have it tested for rabies. If it doesnt die in those 10 days then it doesnt have rabies and you dont have to worry about the rabies. Animals with rabies die within 10 days of showing symptoms and are only infective when they show symptoms ( i cant list all the symptoms as there are so many and chances are if he is acting sick some of his symptoms are probably similar to those of rabies even if he doesnt have it..

Besides the fact, your cat is scared of being in cars.... Cat bites and scratches can be very dangerous. Because of bacteria in their mouths. Scrub out your wounds if you have any broken skin. If its bad you should see a doctor. I'm serious.

A trip to the vet for your cat and if necessary a trip to the doctor for you depending on what the vet says.
