Water and Bananas will help. My son gets leg cramps from football. It works for him.

Yup. An hour before you rise is probably about the time your body uses up most of the available fuel (blood sugar). Muscle spasms may be one of the brain's ways to get you up, moving and putting more fuel in the engine.

You may want to check out low blood sugar link at www.hufa.org. The trick is to eat a snack before going to bed that will give you long lasting, slow burning fuel that will last through the night.

Potassium and vitamin B, and calcium are important too.

Drink more water, eat some bananas, and also try a calcium/magnesium supplement in addition to the potassium you are taking. This should help, but you need to continue with it, especially during the summer. Hope this helps!

a little more potassium in your diet may help, try a banana once a day or baked potato. When you have an attack flex your foot as hard as you can, pull your toes towards you with your leg straight, this should help.

Potassium is what you need. You could eat a banana everyday, too. Drink plenty of water.

regular massages.if your wearing high heels you need to stretch out your calves before going to bed also you can let your feet hang off the bottom of your bed (sleeping stomach down) lighten up your sheets and blanket sometimes their too heavy for your toes and put strain on your legs. or you could just keep your feet open. sleep with a pillow beneath your ankles to help with circulation.(face up) hope it helps.

Try stretching before you go to bed. And stretch alot in the morning when you wake up. Your muscles are tensing up and your body is trying to tell you that you need to stretch more often to loosen those tight muscles

A pinch or two of table salt works for me.
Increase your other minerals also.
Experiment.
You might be also needing more protein.
