Quiche, Branston baked beans (not Heinz any more since they have bastardised them by changing the recipe) and coleslaw is one of my all time favourites. It's a truly classic combination based on a school dinner I used to have when I was a nipper. I didn't have it last night for tea, but I could eat it every night it's so fab!! Try it xxx

Shrimp and Grits or Chicken and Waffles.

Both sound funny but are GREAT!!!

Chicken & waffles is a "soul food" thing - started by Roscoe in California.

Shrimp & Grits is a bit more upscale. I make it and everyone loves it!!!

No tea. Not sure why - but not with this.

bangers and mash!

Now I'm hungry and my sister who is the best cook lives in Darwen (Lancashire) and since I'm in California it's a bit far to go. So no bangers for tea today = (
