To avoid going there, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.

Too many people want to deny that there is a hell...it would spoil their fun.

Yes, sorry to say, but there IS a hell. I try not to think about it too often, or I will scare the crap out of myself.

many people would tell you that hell is real, and many people believe that hell is a very real place. there are religions that believe there are levels of hell and this is one of them. to others hell would be returning reincarnated in the form of a fly...
karma and deeds done on Earth.
I believe that if the devil can influence us on Earth then where does he dwell? down below? if god can live inside you than does the devil live there too? in each person separately? maybe as a conscious? a voice that says do the bad thing?

Hell, as in devils and pitchforks and lakes of burning fire, was a medieval invention of the Catholic church to help control the populace.
Hell, as in seperation from God, is what Christians believe happens after you die if you are not saved.

Personally, I'm not so sure this world isn't the hell of a prior life.

The Lord rules hell as well as heaven. If you really don't want to go there you won't. In the end, our affections decide. You can tell if you follow the ten commandments or not and if you believe in God.

if every thing is interconnected in (indirect) ways we don't yet understand as a people, then my guess is that something like hell is easy to imagine and tempting to believe in. societies can use and be informed by 'hell' notions in order to manage their societies' behavioral extremes. all hell notions that i've run into are fear/anxiety/guilt based and try to plant the seeds of supernatural reciprocity into an individual's worldview inorder to put a lid (unproven and suprtstitious as it may be) on extreme antisocial behavior. it can serve a useful social purpose that way, unless it is abused or lazily overused by authority figures... i actually think that life itself can feel like such an overwhelming onslaught to people that have been raised to be suscpetible to such fears that they already feel like they are in hell, so that the social usefulness of the 'hell' tool to modify an individual's behavior is limited and should definitely not be overplayed.

Yes. I believe in the bible so I do believe there is a heaven and a hell. Also - you think earths bad - hell is much worse than you could ever imagine!

Never been to hell.com, but do not believe in any such place. The hell we experience can either be our lives, or being 'stuck', or astral, earthbound spirits. No fiery place. A Darkness, though, perhaps...lost souls. But the Angels are trying to get through to them always...
