They claim that we must tithe, yet they are the rich ones..and smoking pot is ok, because our bodies are the temple of the holy ghost...Im totally lost...someone help please?

I am a Christian and I can tell you exactly:
Because they are deceived.
I am serious. I am not being trite. It is the truth. Most of us in some way are hypocritical and fail to see that following a Holy God necessarily entails that we conform our lives to Jesus example as best we can. Not out of a sense of duty but of gratefulness to God for the forgiveness he has lavished on us simply because we accept it.

All churches are businesses which is why I do not go. They prey on people out of fear which is ridiculous if you ask me. Evangelists and Catholics are the worst. It is all about money. And yes religious zealots are the first to abuse their power...Look at Jim Baker...Rev Falwell.....Rev Jesse Jackson.
They are all fake a ss mother fluckers.
Basically do wrong and then repent and be forgiven and you are ok- going to heaven now. This is why Catholic school kids are the worst behaved (heavy partiers, smokers, drinkers, gamblers, etc... Preachers kids are always the most mischievous too...always turning away form religion when they get wise enough after being forced to swallow so much of it for years. Priests and their altar boys...I could go on and on

First, tithing is not a commandment, offerings to the "Church" were to be out of love, not duty. God doesn't want donations given begrudgingly. Also, this is a cancer on Christianity, religion. Every religion on earth is based on a man's or men's idea of what the bible says instead of letting the holy spirit teach what the bible says. So we have a bunch of spiritual leeches that think they are blessed because of their mega church money. It disgusts me. They are getting very inclusive about the goings on of the assembly. Gays, lesbians, drug addicts, etc, are to be welcomed in the house of God, but they must repent of their ways and restrain themselves from such things. If the preacher condones these behaviors, he's not going to get past the pearly gates. He'll have a BB-Q pit in hell with his name on it.

Tithing is in the Bible and I don't know of any Evangelist who thinks it is OK to smoke pot.

positive post, Spike Jason, the police officials bust people for possession of pot because it is against the law and as sworn officials, it is their duty to implement the regulation. Your idea that "1000's of thousands of jobs may %. up and the commercial equipment may skyrocket" makes easily no experience. yet, have yet another hit off the ol' bong and that i'm certain you could also make your self believe that Obama is easily-known with what he's doing.

Doesn't that depend on the rationale behind the pot smoking? Certainly using medical marijuana isn't desecrating a temple.
