my cat had some kittens their about 7 weeks old and im trying to figure out the sex and i was wondering do males have nipples or how do you tell?

Yes, male cats have nipples, just like male humans have nipples.

The easiest way to sex a kitten is to look at its little butt. If there is a set of holes, one above the other (the kitten's anus and then a hole just underneath it), you've got a female. The lower hole is the vagina opening. If you have a kitten with an anal opening and no hole just underneath it, you have a male kitten.

Male cats do have nipples. It depends on how old they are. When they are first born, it is often easier. However, because of some swelling due to the stresses of birth, the sex may turn out to be something different than it first appears. Normally, the backend of the male kitten, under the tail, should look like a colon (:). The top dot is the anus, the bottom dot is where the penis is sheathed. Normally, the backend of the female kitten, under the tail, should look line an upside doen exclamation point(! turned upside down). The top dot is the anus, the bottom line is the entrance to the vagina. I find that between a few days and a week of age, sex identification can be tricky. By the time the kitttens are two weeks old, it should be relatively easy. Good luck!

Yes, they have nipples. I'm not quite sure how you can tell the difference because I have only had male cats, but I think if you look at their butt, males will have a softer area where the balls will grow into. I really have no idea, but you can always ask your vet.

Funny story. I was petting my cats one day when I noticed my male cat's nipples. Shocked I said to my husband "I'm confused why does he have nipples? Do you think he's a hermaphrodite?" My husband calmly replied, "Well, I have nipples too does that make me a hermaphrodite?" The only way I know to tell female from males is by looking at the genitalia! The boys should have testicles!

absolutely....in fact when we got our latest male, he was about 5 weeks old (found him as a stray), and he had a HUGE pair of balls in addition to his nipples. LOL. Too bad the balls shrunk down quite a big after he had his little "surgery". But, the nipples are still there, he just has more fur now and you can't see them like when he was a tiny kitten with only a little fur.
