Ok I tried this and it worked and I was told it was very flattering. I had a crush on this guy for awhile and everytime I got around him I couldn't speak, so I went out and bought a bottle of wine wrapped it up in the bag tied a little pink bow around it and wrote a note that said. "My friends said I should just ask you out but i'm a bit shy, so let's share this wine and get to know eachother a little better. Call me exct.....where I made a mistake is I had the security guard at his work deliver it to him and it went to the wrong guy but other than that I got to meet someone new and made a friend plus he put in a good word for me to the guy I had a crush on and as of now things are pending in a good way.
