i am goint to do some work in saudi arabia for six months contract, and need to know a good bar.

Are you an IDIOT??? You know Saudi Arabia does not allow alcohol! If you need alcohol that bad then I suggest you work some place other than Saudi Arabia. The punishment for being caught making or using or selling alcohol is very severe. Are you really going to Saudi Arabia to work or to party? Six months is not a long time to go without alcohol and God willing you will learn how good your life can be sober!

There are no bars in Saudi Arabia, as others have stated. However, like most Saudis, you can drive across the bridge to Bahrain for a weekend spree. Most expatriates make their own beer from a beer kit and many make their own wine from Rauch grape juice, which comes in nice resealable bottles.

You CANNOT drink alcohol in Saudi Arabia .... period.... no dirty pictures,,, or half naked pictures either..... no PORK .... of anykind..
Do NOT... stare at any women..... dont cross your legs in public or in front of someone... That is an Insult......
Do NOT... talk in a Loud manner,, that is an Insult...
Do not tell dirty jokes.. until you know the Arabs...first....
Saudi Arabia is the Lighthouse of Islam..... DO NOT.. mess up...
They have the Friday afternoon beheadings in Ryhiad .... just for people that do..... and they will do foreigners......

You can get it in the king's palace, in the united states and french embassadors' residences, or in the US base.
If you get caught intoxicated, be sure you are really intoxicated, so the public spanking with a long stick wont feel so bad all the way back to USA (about 22 hours of fly time).
My suggestion, take a flight to Istanbul Turkey, and enjoy Raki (local drink) in a nice fish restaurant next to the Bosphorus with couple of Russian chicks.

You'll probably want to get out every now and then, so go to Bahrain (you can drive over the causeway) or as suggested by another respondent -- fly to Istanbul. Also, if you are American, contact the Embassy to get on the list for the get-togethers.

u can find what ever u want if u knew the right ppl or if u know where 2 look and as u know it's unlegal here but be carefull this is enough no need to give more info about this issue in the main ;)

You are probably SOL as alcohol is forbidden by Islamic law. You might try getting in good w/some American engineers, etc. that might be able to get it in their compounds. NEVER leave your lodgings in even a slightly impaired state.
