The oldest film I think I have in my fridge has an expiration date of august 1968. Recently I just developed a roll off Pantomic x from 1988 and it looked great. Granted the film has been in a controlled temperature environment. However, with Ektachrome I would be suprised it if turned out well. My experience is that slide film doesnt fare so well in the long term outside a refrigerated environment.

In 1998 I used a Kodak film that was in my great aunt's camera, which we worked out she hadn't used in around ten years. When I developed the film, the photos I'd taken came out with a blurry purple cast, but the pictures she'd taken came out fine! Let us know what happens...

My grandad has his film for years. He said everybody did years ago. He got the film developed when it was used up which, since he might take two pics a year could be years and years. Everything used to come out, he reckons..

i left a film in a 35mm camera for 7 years, got it developed and all came out, but colours had run a little, but otherwise ok.
But i think 1987 is pushing it a bit...lol

The colors will probably be a bit off due to the age of the film.

It depends on how the film was stored......

I have used many rolls of film that were well past the expiration date........

I keep my film old and new in the fridge so in most cases it comes out fine........
