I was listening to Jeff Wayne's musical War of the Worlds and found myself wondering this: If there were Martians, could they also be saved by Jesus, or is it only for the humans? Do dogs and cats get saved? How do I know if my goldfish is born again or if he needs to be converted. I'd like to see my pets in the afterlife! Please help!

If God exists and Martians exist, then they'd probably have their own Jesus and would be safed by Him. You'd just have to expand the Holy Trinity a bit. See http://www.sinfest.net/archive_page.php?comicID=215

As for pets, I think they are saved by default, as only intelligent beings like Martians (I'm not sure about the humans) seem to run the risk of being bad and thus end up not being saved.

In my oppinion I think that martians are just demons. They are just trying to bring the nephelum back. They try to do this because a human can only be saved if his genes are fully human. I do believe you will see your pets in heaven ,but I couldn't be 100% sure about that. I don't think you can save your goldfish even if he has to be saved. You can't speak goldfish...........

I believe that martians would be like all the other animals. They wouldn't have a soul, beacuse only humans have souls;if they would have souls then they would just be another species of human, which wouldn't qualify them as martians. And because they don't have souls, there would be no way for them to be in heaven, for heaven is a spiritual world and they don't have anything spiritual in them to be in heaven. But you will see them in the new earth in eternity.

While I doubt that there are necessarily, "martians" I do believe in aliens, and I also believe they will be saved according to their faithfulness through the atonement of Jesus Christ just like us.

Oh, and I think the animals are going to heaven, too. If my cat isn't going to heaven with me, I don't know if I want to go.

Aliens don't exist...

Martians are a joke...

animals are not self aware to contemplate right and wrong and responsibility, in order to accept Jesus as Savior.

Animals will be in heaven because God knows our hearts and desires.

Jesus is the only Way to God.

Yes, Martians can be saved. You just have to make sure you squeeze all the air out of the bag before sealing it.

The bible specifically talks about humans, so I am not certain that Martians can be saved.

All sentient beings everywhere are already 'saved'. An enlightement experience is needed to let us know of our non-dualistic, non-individual reality (which solves all the problems we think we have). All sentient beings can have this experience (and it's really the only real meannig for life).
