I hope nobody get offended by my statement but this is my honest assessment of the place.
I've been to Pattaya , Thailand and Im very disappointed with my holiday.
I thought there would be pristine clean beaches but when I went there, the beach is very dirty.
The place has a lot of stray dogs and when there are dogs, there are poo around. I think I stepped one.
Also, there are a lot of girly bars there. Ladies in their bikinis waiting for their customers.
Even though you never go hungry there ( a lot of eating places around), I think I would rather go to Bangkok.

ok - fine indeed - but one of the least interesting places here.. Find yourself a lovely lass and have her take you around and see some of the other places in this terrific country. Pattaya, Patong, etc etc.. they are just tiny pin pricks on the map here - get out and around - it is safe travel and more wonderful than you can imagine

the music is lame but..... life can be good..... Who wouldn't trade spending the next 30 years in a cubicle to be in this place, even if you only last 15 years before it all catches up with you in one way or another? Who want to live so long that a good day is one when you can remember your childrens names, avoid shitting yourself, and stay awake to see all of Matlock???

yes I have been 4 times in 2005 and one time (nong khai) 2006 My advice to anyone going to pattaya or bkk is" the girls who work bar do so because they are very poor and work because they have to (not want to )" treat them as human beings (end of sermon) Steve

Yes, it is not too bad. But do not just go there only, there are many more better places nearby to visit too. Try Hua Hin next.

its ok - very lively (at night),,, but it is famous for the nightlife,,, the beaches are kinda dirty cuz tourists/etc pollute it - i think it'll be better if it were cleaner.
