Maybe your diet is too restrictive... which leaves you feeling deprived, hence you keep cheating. You could try a diet that lets you eat some of your favorite foods -- but in smaller portions. Or, try eating healthier versions of your favorite foods. The worst part about cheating is that many of us (myself included) use it as a free pass to then eat badly the rest of the day-week... once we cheat a little we might as well keep going. In reality, if we could just cheat a little and then get back on plan, we'd still be able to reach our goals.

Here are some diets that allow you to eat a range of foods:

The 90/10 Weight Loss Plan (where you eat 10% of your calories from fun foods that you love every day)

LeDiet (bases a meal plan on the food you currently eat)

Weight Watchers (where you determine what you eat -- nothing is off limits but you have to stay within your point range)

Hungry Girl (find great food substitutions and guilt-free recipes)

Good luck to you,

I love food too and cheat every now and then. Thing is, don't stress over it. Nobody's perfect and there's nothing wrong with you. I don't know what kind of a diet you're on, but maybe you want to switch to just counting calories and just eat what you want so long as it is within the calory allowance for the day.
Or make a point to work out more. That way, when you do cheat, it won't show up.

Set targets, long term and short term. Monitor your progress to see how well you are doing. Get recipes for some great tasting meals that fit your diet. Eat a varied diet and keep it interesting. If you find yourself giving up, remember why you wanted to change in the first place, if you really did want to reach that end goal, it should be all the motivation you need.

Not buying cheat foods is the best way of avoiding eating them :)

Nothing wrong with you. It's the diet. This allows all the cheating you want. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Plus click on "Pure Water" to make sure the water you drink doesn't hurt you. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

what's wrong is that you're dieting.. dieting is not the best way to be healthy.. dieting is prone to fail because you're depriving yourself of the things you desire so you end up cheating..

what you need is a healthy life change.. which consists of portion control and balancing what's good for you and what you love to eat..

if you love cheetos, eat baked cheetos..

if you love cookies, buy healthy choice...

little changes can be big..

my husband and i have figured out a way to not deprive ourselves, during the week we eat healthy completely every meal.. on the weekends we get to eat less healthy, drink some sodas, have a burger.. etc.. but start monday we go back to eating healthy.. it's the best way to keep on that right road and its like a reward for your hard work at the end of the week..

if you'd like to know more let me know..

good luck!

I hate dieting and I have a serious sweet tooth. The greatest advice I have ever heard about this, is to take two bites, and that's it. The first bite to taste it, and the second bite to savor it and enjoy the moment. Then stop. I will never deprive myself of yumminess again. Good luck! There is nothing wrong with you. Food is wonderful!

Diets are temporary...... they are there for quick weight loss, the key is consistency..... don't expect yourself to be faithful to your eating habits all the time, it's ok to treat yourself... me, what i do is every sat i eat whatever the hell i want, and if i feel like something during the week, i say "I'll just have it saturday" good luck!
