if you were a responsible owner/breeder improving on the breed standard and not making a profit..then you would already know what to do.

this only tells me you are an irresponsible backyard breeder looking to make a quick buck at the expense of your poorly cared for dogs.

SHAME ON YOU!

your the reason shelters are in business.

What you should do is leave them alone. The female is not ready to mate that's why she runs away and barks sometimes she might even bite him. Just be patient when she is ready she will mate. Good luck!

I suggest reading up on dog breeding. Know what you're doing before you attempt to do something that is so potentially dangerous for your dogs... (And possibly damaging to your dogs, puppies, and the breed itself.) If you do that, you'll know the correct process for mating.

Go to http://www.akc.org/breeders/resp_breeding/ . These are the 22 Steps to Responsible Breeding. Very helpful info, if you start at Step 1. You are trying to start at Step 9. The first 7 are the *most* important.

Oh, sounds like they're married. That happens with human marriages also, the guy wants sex but the female runs away. He'll have to get some action on the side.

Have them both fixed. Unless you are a professional breeder, you shouldn't be breeding animals. It's irresponsible.
Below are the AKC breeder guidelines. If you don't meet and adhere to each and every one, then you should get the dogs fixed ASAP.

If your trying to make a quick buck STOP!!! WE breeders get a bad name from "backyard breeders" as we call them. They breed a pure bred, papered or not, and one of their offspring bites someone and suddenly that breed gets a bad rap. DON'T BREED YOUR DOGS!!! Get a dog from someone else. Get your dogs fixed!!!

You can be a responsible human being and have both dogs fixed. Don't contribute to yet more pet overpopulation.
