Interesting question. Maybe instead of the "heaven" we wanted, we all got the heaven we deserved.

This points to the basic premise of what people who have had enlightenment experiences say. This thing that we think we are - the body, the personality, the individual - is experienced as illusory and there's only One thing in the universe that IS everything. This experience IS heaven -- and the whole concept of life, death, birth, etc. is realized as illusory as well. Given this, we can't be 'dead and in heaven' because that applies to a person, a body, an invidual - the thing we think we are -- and the realization is that we're not this thing.

I know that because I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, I will go to heaven when I die. In heaven there will be no non-believers. Yet there are non-believers all around me now. Just read some of the questions and answers in this catagory. Therfore, I must be alive.

I pick up dead bodies for a living - there is no way this is heaven - there will be no more death in heaven. Unfortunately, for some people this may be the only heaven they ever see - if you catch my meaning - if not it means that they are on the road to hell.

If you are breathing - you're alive - trust me! Death stinks worse than a room full of sweaty teenage boys- UGH!!!!!

And a very good question it is! I really don't think this is Heaven though, ever heard of the saying,"its a hell on Earth" !! With all the Evils in the world, that should answer your question. If THIS is Heaven, what on earth must Hell be like? Doesn't bear thinking about!

No because my life sucks for the most part but at times it is cool so I know i'm not in Hell and I still need to eat don't I? This is one of those questions that I'm sure many people will make fun of you for but chances are at one point they thought the same thing.

No way, heaven is life, peace and joy forever. Earth as it is now does not offer much of that. I hope you are ready to go to heaven. If not, ask Jesus Christ to forgive, remove and cleanse you from all your sins and come into your heart/life to live there forever. Turn from your sins to live the rest of your life for Him. This is my prayer for you.
