Ahhh, don't you just love it?
If I've sent an email to a colleague with a spelling mistake I actually find it embarrassing!
I imagine Americanisms drive you up the wall too...
Seeing as words and language seem to be your forte- how about some spoonerisms and malapropisms to amuse us with Teach?

i agree my little sister can't spell write or even type properly. and calls me miss spelling bee! i don't know why but spelling is just second nature to me. curiously the only word i had a problem with when i was younger was friend, i used to spell it freind! but that was when i was 7. surely spelling is a very basic skill?

spelling is hard for a lot of people, but with time and practice i think most people could improve a bit.
