Hi, bubblesgalore, my name is Hank. I have a Jack Russell Terrier. He has made a really good pet for me after I did some research on his breed.

The "Heinz 57" dog you have make good pets too. They often have very unique personalities due to their mixture. One of my cousins owns an Australian Shepherd. They seem to have above average intelligence.

I got my "buddy" from the pound. He was scheduled to be euthenized the next day. I had to take him and me to a doggy school. He had some biting issues; because, he was mistreated badly before he came under my care. He has a Napoleon complex also. So, I have to be careful when other dogs are around, especially male dogs. It's just his nature.

I hope you have many more years of happiness with your pet. If you take good care of him/her, your dog will give you more love than you can ever want from a pet.

Good luck.

Hank Feral

Of all the responses you have received, you don't have a single PUG owner... until now!!

We have a 4 1/2 year old pug we named "Chloe". She is the boss in our home... so she thinks. She also thinks she can "take-on" ANY dog that walks past our home, no matter the size or breed!

Pugs are so sweet! We will be getting her a playmate for her 5th birthday. Pugs are great with infants, small children, teens, adults and the elderly. They are extremely loyal.

I have this ugly schnauzer mix, I inherited it from my MIL. She's a cancer survivor, so had half her tail removed due to the cancer, which did NOT enhance her looks. She's got tumors all over her body, neck, tummy, rear end, and is about 20lbs overweight.

She is old, about 10. When someone knocks on the front door, she runs to the front door barking loudly. When someone knocks on the back door, she runs to the front door barking loudly. When someone knocks on the bathroom door, she runs to the front door barking loudly. When my smartypants 15 year old wants to tease her and knocks on the floor, she runs to the front door barking loudly.
