problem occured after i deleted some rubbish mail now yahoo keeps telling me i have mail each time i log on i need some real help

There seems to be a glitch - I've been getting alarms as well, when there's no new mail.

Make sure all your emails have been read or marked as read. Any unread messages will be considered "new" mail.

yahoo has been having email problems of all kinds all day. be patient they will fix it. you aren't the only one having trouble.
