of course not, I mean... its paper that picks up spills. I think that is a basic human need, right there with Food(Water), Shelter, and Clothing. Life is also not possible without really obscure questions like this one.

God no. I go through a case of 'em every week! Ok, not that many but it would be difficult. And think of all the water you'd waste and soap that would get into the environment washing cloth towels instead!

yes. There are things called "rags" and other things called "dish towels" that used to be used back in the days before paper towels.

But who wants to put a rag covered in cat puke in the wash?

they also used to use rags before someone invented tampons. Wanna go back to THAT?

No, without paper towels, life in America will cease. That is our weakness, but we can't let this secret out.

My brother-in-law and his family quit using paper towels years ago for environmental reasons. They seem to get along just fine.

They use cloth napkins and cloth towels for little messes and wash them with the other laundry. They use rags for the more nasty jobs.

Truthfully...I don't think so!

A few years ago I decided to stop using them because they are so bad for the environment...but ...lol...I still cheat!

Sometimes I use toilet paper or paper napkins to do a quick wipe down.

I imagine so...people lived without papertowels for years. If it came down to it, I'd rather give up my cell phone than my papertowels in the kitchen. I can't stand running out of them. Isn't that sick?

Weird question but it has some validity. I find that it really sucks when i run out of them. But we have three young children so we use um a lot!

there are viable substitues such as toilet paper, newspaper, dirt laundry, the shirt you're currently wearing, your friends shirt who's passed out on the couch, air drying, blowing on your hands, etc
