I think that the name would be factually incorrect. America was named after the Portuguese (I think) explorer Amerigo Vespucci who gave his name to the Country and Continent.
The name United States of America is exactly what it says - an alliance of several distinct States brought together under a Constitution. That is why there are different laws in different States. Thankfully, simply giving something the epithet 'Islamic' does not mean that it is so.

Well because it's not called that and never will i really don't have much to think about it now do i. Plus in the Constitution (the golden rule book of America) it states that America can't claim one religion, so it will never happen. And again you hate America so why are you still on an American website and probably still in America?? TO ANYONE WHO READS THIS AND YOU DISLIKE AMERICA, DON'T LIKE WHAT WE STAND FOR, CAN'T SPEAK A LICK OF ENGLISH, OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU DISAGREE WITH IN OUR AMERICAN CIVILIZATION WHY DON'T YOU LEAVE!!!!!!

I would think 'What a load of bollocks!' Just as I would if it were styled 'The United Christian States of America' - or anything else officially associating it with any religion.
