I want to dye my dark brown hair black, with a red (like a deep red) streak both sides. However, I also have psoriasis on my scalp (although it's getting better).
Should I do it?
How should I do it?
What shampoos and conditioners should I use?
How much will it cost me?

Hair dying is not at all advisable at this point of time.Just wait until your Psoriasis is healed completely. Chemical contents in the dye might cause infections and adverse affects too. Head and Shoulder shampoos / conditioner cleans scalp better than any other shampoos and also bring healthy-beautiful hair.Yes, you can use this but not more than 4 times a week until you are fine.Get 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner which shouldn't cost you more than $10. Good Luck!

My friend had that psoriasis once and he uses this product "Nizoral" It started working the first week he used it. You only have to use it once a week and it continues to work.
Just remember when you want to do the deep red streak on both sides make sure those strips don't get died black or you'll have a really hard time trying to dye it unless you are interested in bleaching it first then dying it red.

For the shampoo try this site:

You should talk to your doctor and a professional hair stylist before doing it. You wouldn't want to give yourself an infection or make the psoriasis worse. If you get the ok, go for it if you like. :)

DON'T try to do this on your own!! You'll ruin your hair and make your scalp worse. Go to a salon, tell them your situation and they'll gear you in the right direction. Could cost anywhere from $40 to $200.
