Both, lol, depends on the people.

I know people who "settled" because they were tired of being lonely, some of whom I now refer to as "my friend who's divorced", "my friend who's having an affair", or "my friend who thinks she can and should change her husband and can't figure out why he doesn't want to change to make her happy." *sigh*

Love is real, but it's not effortless magic. When it's real, you know it's real, but it only stays real if you both work on it & pay attention to it & treat each other the way you want to be treated. Making it work is a choice, and you get out of it what you put into it. The gamble is in who you love, and whether you can trust & depend on that person to put as much into it as you do.

Love is very real and yes being lonely .People know if it's a sole mate or companionship .Some of the best of life is when you have a companion your in love with !Many people get a pet for companionship , a bird or dog , cat , rabbit .But for love we seek a human in which we can go everywhere with and can talk too and will give in the conversation as well , a hug , laughter regardless if it's a love or companion .People need people !

OHMYGOSH!! How terriable that you are asking this question! Love IS real. It's up the people in the relationship to keep it alive. Granted, some people "settle" because they are tired of being alone, but I'm holding out hope that true love DOES exist.

Love is real but sometimes loneliness leads to imprudent decisions. Most of the time when our hearts are broken we stop believing in true love.

i'm only at present damaged up so i'm kinda liking the on my own time. supplies me time to spotlight different factors of my existence that i have been neglecting. Lonely, at situations. a tremendous kind of the time i'm pleased with the better silence-lol genuine love is the love you discover and favor to make it genuine. that is there, for absolutely everyone, yet we stumble on it even as love sees waiting to settle for us :)

Just as, "Life is what you make of it," so is love... whatever you make of it. The love you take is equal to the love you make.

For some people love is NOT real, because THEY are not real or they just don't get it or make it.

Some people are unhappy in life, just as some people are unhappy in love.

Love is as real as you make it.... as good as you want it to be... and as powerful as you believe it to be.

Love is everything or nothing... it is all up to you!

love is real. In some cases, people get together for other reasons (like loneliness), but when you do fall in love, it is so amazing!
