After the pest control guy came and did his thing, there should not be any fleas left to jump on you right now. Not sure if this will kill flea eggs tho. You may have to wait 3 weeks and do it again. You can buy flea bombs at the store and not have to pay the outrageous prices that the pest control guy charges. Plus it doesn't sound like he did a good job. You also need to treat the yard against fleas or you will continue to bring them back inside.

if they are there they will come back it takes a lot of work to get rid of fleas and the pest control agent should have told you this. if you like your living unit then i suggest you invest in ortho home pest control (you buy at super store like wal-mart, k-mart, meijer) and forget the expense of an agent. spray again in two weeks till you stop seeing new fleas vacuum daily and remove your bag to an outside can after each time you vacuum. flea eggs can take upto one year to hatch so keep spraying once a month for upto a year, longer if you like. it is also a good idea to get diazanon (not sure of spelling)for your lawn to stop them from being carried back into the house, because more than likely they are in your lawn. but you are on your way. they will slow down after the first spraying and the next will be even better .

You will need to do it least one more time then you can use repellents. There is a herb called flea bane or penny royal get some and make a tea by boiling a gallon of water add about 2cups of the herb and spray your house and yard that will help keep them away. Bay leave will work but not as will.

I had fleas in my carpet. I went to Wal-Mart and bought a can of Bengal flea spray. The next day no more fleas. And to this day none it suppose to take care of live and the eggs. It worked for me so try it.
