she needs to stop using the gel. My daughter has super long hair but where she puts the gel for pony tails it is really damaged and short. She now takes vitamins for hair. Natrol hair vitamins and its helping also her nails are getting really long too. Good luck I hope she can get away from the gel thats a hard one.

Well first of all she should stop putting alot of gel in her hair because that dries the hair out and it can easily break off when it's dry. She should make sure her hair and scalp are clean. Also at night she should wrap her hair up with a silk bonnet or something like that. Don't use the bandanna's because they are cotton and cotton dries the hair out and makes it break off. Make sure you are using the right hair products for your type of hair. Maybe you should take her to the hair salon and let that person tell you how to care for her hair then, you can take those tips and use them at home. Try not to use the hair curlers and heat on her hair everyday. I hope this helps.

Aloe Vera is said to make your hair grow faster. Mostly, all you can do is sit and wait for it to grow by itself. One way you can help it grow though is by keeping it healthy. When hair is dry and brittle, it may break as you brush/ comb it, and it could get split ends, which isn't very beautiful. Make sure your sister eats right too and drinks enough water because hair gets as dry as a haystack when the body isn't nutritioned enough.

These aren't exactly tips on how to make it grow faster (maybe except for the Aloe Vera thing) but more of ways to help it look its best by the time it gets longer.

Use vit.B. first give it an oil treatment and wash it weekly. Olive oil is good. Warm the oil and leave it for half an hour or so. Then, wash it with a mild shampoo. Juice from fresh oranges is good as a hairgrower. She will have to be patient. How long your hair grows depents on your genes also.

I recommend vitamins. Centrum chewables are good, that's what I take. It's not like flinstones or anything (I'm 28). Biotin is awesome for speeding up the growth. Go here and see this vitamin I saw advertised on the Home Shopping Network, I'm thinking of ordering it cause it's rather cheap and I really want my hair to grow faster!! Look at the people's reviews. P.S. Don't fall for the myth that hair grows faster when you trim it. That's false, it only prolongs the growth, duh!! Just tell her to keep it as healthy as possible while growing out, like keep ends conditioned, etc. That way, she won't have to trim it and it will look healthy.

there is some shampoos out there, its called grow, its kinda expensive, its $20 for the set, you can order it online. Theres also vitamins, but also eating lots of green vegetables, and lots of water will help, and also a scalp massage like once or 2wice a week. Hope this helps!

there's not a lot you can do... just use protein fortified conditioners and rty to get a lot of protien in your diet. (meats and things) in the meantime, there are a lot of cute, short hairstyles. Maybe try something bed-head and shaggy would be cute :) Best of luck to her!
