Guys, men...please help? we're in relationship, but when it comes to calling...?

we are 8 months in a relationship and both have excellent communication with each other. i dont like to talk on the phone without reason most times same as him. what i need is for him to call me for like a minute on days we dont see each other. he wouldnt call and says he feels its not nesessary, but so far i havent talked to him 2.5 days. i call him sometimes, sometimes he calls. but is it normal not to call ur gf like that ??

Well everybody differs in their belief on whats normal or not. In popularity no its not normal to not call your bf/gf however it really doesn'y matter. If you guys have been in a realtionship that long you have to trust eachother. Now if you want him to call to say goodnight or good morning or whatever ask him to do that and make sure you let him know you dont want to be on the phone for hours......

Depends on your ages.

Guys are not used to calling their friends on the phone and just chatting, like girls do, so he probably thinks that it is awkward (he can't think of what to talk about). Men are used to using the phone to order pizza, or to schedule an appointment, or something else that is task oriented. Calling someone with no purpose other than to "just talk" seems strange.

If he is older, and has dated a lot of people,then he might be used to talking to his GF on the phone. Otherwise he will find it unusual.

if you want to make it less awkward to him, then try to do most of the talking -- so that he doesn't feel pressured to come up with something clever or funny to talk about off the top of his head -- guys find this hard to do because they do not normally practice it.
