Unfortunately it is not the familys decision who your aunt marries. It is entirely their decision.

Solution: Accept it, or dont go to the wedding

It depends on if you want to make a scene or not. If all else fails, when the person doing the ceremony asks "Does anyone have just cause on why these two should not be married, speak now or forever hold your peace".....you could stand up and say..."Um...I do....", and maybe others will stand up too. Otherwise your just going to piss her off and she'll uninvite you to her wedding.

What everyone else in the family wants is irrelevant. What makes your aunt happy should be what matters.

I'm assuming since she has a niece or nephew old enough to post a question on yahoo that she is old enough to make her decisions. You can't stop this wedding and you shouldn't try, she's old enough to make her own mistakes. Also, this isn't your problem, so you don't need to solve it.

It's not up to you or your family. For whatever reasons, I don't think you can keep your aunt from doing what she chooses to do Just be happy for her

Who are you to stop her wedding? This might just be what she needs in her life. (unless she is getting "married" to another woman) I am sure that everyone in your family just wants her to be happy.

You kidnap her.

My brother was making a terrible mistake and we should have done that.

Figure out some way to get her into the car and whisk her away somewhere, anywhere.

i don't think you can stop her, it's her life, her choice. if you have an overriding legitimate concern (proof to back up your complaint like this guy is a criminal, or not who he claims to be), talk to your aunt privately but accept her decision as final and wish her the best.

Destroy the marriage license.... a wedding can't be legal without a marriage license
