I guess, like me, he has a logical view of religious literature. I reckon Jesus Christ was probably a real man, a very nice bloke, with great tolerance who would have been appalled by the behaviour and hypocrisy of so-called Christians. I don't believe he was the son of god since god doesn't exist to any rational mind. It's one thing to follow the teachings of someone, and quite another to blindly follow all that is written in the Bible, especially considering that the New Testament often contradicts the Old Testament. Christians like to pick and choose what parts they actually follow.

There is a possibility he did not die on the cross, but was merely in a comatose state which would explain the resurrection. As to the son of God part, aren't we all SUPPOSED to be the children of God? This however, presents a problem. If you read the Bible, in the creation story it states God said, "Let US make man in OUR image." Those are plural which would indicate there were several gods, or a Mr. and Mrs. God. That alone, would give me cause to wonder, is there really such a person as the God in the bible or is it what it seems, a good morality tale made up to make people live a good life? Getting back to the cross issue - if Jesus - who was Jewish, by the way and called "rabbi" (teacher) by his followers - did not die on the cross, where did he go after? Some say Egypt, then on to southern France with his wife Mary Magdalene. By the way - I knew all this long before the da Vinci Code was ever on the bookshelves so I'm not getting it from there.

Your father was absolutely true NO ONE.According to the scriptures found recently at the Knoah mountains, there is no claim stating the divine existence when Jesus existed.Jesus was ELECTED to be the son of the God by a counsel of highest religious members at the time of the Emperor Constantine in 3rd Century AD.

So, the divinity was given to Jesus by a counsel but not naturally. And there are contradictory statements on how Jesus died. Some say that Jesus went to India, met the sages there, learnt the truths of most of the religions that existed at his time and returned to teach his country ppl.

Choose for urself, what Jesus was.And keep ur opinion for yourself. No pun intended.Trust ur instincts dude.

False... Jesus is the son of God because how otherwise could he have been birthed to a virgin and had people been told be an angel that Jesus was coming. He did die on the cross for you sins and to save you from your fault. Why did your dad say this to you? What do you believe?

How did Jesus not exist as the son...according to your father, if he clearly says many times in the new testament....My father sent me....I came to do the will of my father...who sent me....My father is_____.....

So if your father, the Christian, doesn't belief in Christ as he is defined and revealed in the holy bible, then waht does your father believe? You said he was raised as a Christian?....was he raised perhaps BY Christians. LOL You can't be raised a Christian, and not be one. You can be raised by Christians or according to the Christian faith and then decide you don't want to be one. Once Christ is truly revealed there is no turning back. He may know something about Christian values and teachings, but that doesn't mean that he knows Christ, therefore I would deduct that your father is not a good souce for information if you are seeking truth and knowledge to transform under the revelation of Christ.

Jesus was the Son of God. He was sent to save sinners. But not everyone wants to be saved. And He did die on the cross so that you could live again. It says so clearly in the Bible. The Bible is a document of what Jesus has to say about His own life through the words of His disciples and prophets. Why dont you try researching the Bible for yourself or going to a local church and talk to the pastor? And i hope you have a very blessed day!

nice to see jessie mae displaying the christian spirit.

truth is no real archaeological evidence exists that would either prove or deny the divinity of jesus
you either believe or you don't
this is the answer given time and time again because it is the essence of faith.
in you fatrher's case he was raised christian but the teachings did not lead him to belief.
despite what fundamentalists say, the priests who educated me stated clearly that a person's heart is seen by god, and so praying louder than everyone else, cursing the unbelievers and quoting scripture is a poor substitute for true, humble goodness.
religion can be a great comforter to many people and has a place in the world however, not believing in the religion of your peers does not make a bad person.
ultimately, you alone will make decisions as to what you believe
