jesus himself apparently knew how to read the torah...came from or was god incarnate...but did not know THE name by what we can read from the gospels! always calling on him by ''adonai'' meaning ''lord'' witch is a hebrew word with the same meaning of BAAL in canaan.

His name is Holy and at the time even to this day we should respect His name Yahweh. Lord is not his name and those who interpreted the bible stuck that word in there, and yes lord is- Baal in Hebrew. Out of respect for our Elohim we should be very careful in speaking His name, we should address Him as El, Elohim, Adonai more often then His Holy Name.
Here is one for you. It is written that :all that call upon the name of the lord shall be saved. think about this question, how can people be saved by calling on Baal? How can people call upon Yahweh if they don't know His name? The devil has been very very busy and has had his hand in many many things, in this battle of good and evil. After all, satan is called the deceiver.

I have seen so many versions of this (don't forget eyeh asher eyeh ... and I know I spelled that horribly wrong... but that is "I Am... to be/become)... it's hard telling what the name was originally. I'd say ask a Jewish High Priest, but they freak out if you even TRY to pronounce the name.
