well when i eat, i constantly burn my mouth and tongue. is there any long term effect to it? like losing the abillity to taste?!

First of all, if it burns its bad. Secondly and most importantly, if it is hot enough to burn your mouth, then it is also doing damage to you as it goes down. This can lead to ulcers in your stomach as well as other bad side effects. So, yes, it is worse than you think.

If you burn your throat from drinking hot coffee,on a regular basis,it increases your risk of cancer.I would say it would have a similar effect on your mouth.You might want to take it down a notch or two.

it burns your taste buds, but there are too many of them to burn them all off
you might want to cool your food a little bit before you eat it though
