it depends on the school, but i think you are going to find it isn't all that much different than 5th grade only you learn harder stuff. enjoy it though because it goes by way too fast

I am a 5th grade teacher. Academically, 6th grade isn't much more difficult than 5th. The Math just adds on a few more concepts to what you already know, but much of it is review. If you are a good reader , you have it made, but Social Studies and Science are more of a focus too. You will feel more grown up and you will be treated that way too. Have a folder for every subject and organize well. You will change classes and have many teachers to keep up with. (YOU keep up with them, because they won't keep up with you.) This is a big step for you, and I know you are up for the challenge. Don't be afraid of the 8th graders or anything else...you will be fine! Good luck.

My daughter is going into 6th grade also. She is really looking forward to it. there are so many more opportunities, like band, chorus, track.. things that you dont have in 5th grade. Maybe a little more homework and you are at the bottom of the older kids but just have fun and make new friends and dont let the older kids push you around.

Well It depends on what kind of school. But its a Big Big Big Big step up from elementary or 5th grade, It will be harder to get homework done but If you stay on top of it you will do just fine! It is fun but remember kids are mean, and they seem to get meaner as the years go on so don't listen to what the jerks say, oh and there is a Lot and when i say a lot i mean a lot of drama & changes. you must be young.well I'm just going into 8Th grade.6Th grade is so much fun but a lot of people get shy because there are older kids there than you and your not going to be the biggest kids in the school any more its also fun if your one of the bad kids and you get more respect too.

6Th grade is so cool. You meet a ton of new friends and have a blast doing PE and electives. Hope this helps you and let me tell you from someone who just finished 6th grade it was one of the greatest years of my life.

It's fun if you have friends and good grades. Kind of sucks because the 8th graders seem so much older than you. Don't worry, have fun and enjoy. It's over in a flash!

Sixth grade was easy for me, but that was about 13 years ago, wait until you get to high school, that's when it's tough! But stick with it, get good grades, do ALL your homeowrk and reading, be a good kid, trust me, it pays off when you get to college! Meaning: good grades will help you get scholarships into college which means you and you parents don't have to worry so much about money!

6th grade is fun when u go to science camp.the work is hard if u dont pay attention
