Man you know all the right questions! I wasn't impaled through my middle section or anything, but I was standing on a board laying accross a couch in this guy's garage, trying to drill a 2" hole for a pipe. I had to reach my hand in and connect it to another pipe without seeing what I was doing. Well, the board slipped out from underneath me and when I fell, there as a 6" long, 1" wide shard of wood sticking up in the hole that impaled my wrist and went through my hand. It was so big, and went in so deep, that I was hanging, all 220 lbs, by it. I couldn't slide it out, so I had to stick a small sawblade in there and saw it off the beam. I pulled my hand out, and headed for the ER. It was horrible. Actually the scar didn't turn out to be so bad. I guess cause most of the damage was on the inside.

Yes a 6" nail through the foot , came out the top of the foot! no instant pain, but unbearable pain an hout later.
I jumped down off a scaffold, and a plank of wood was on the floor with the nail sticking upwards

I was impaled by a fork when I was a kid. To this day I have four perfect little scars where the fork went in, lol.

I was once mowing the lawn and ran over fence wire....the wire got lodged in my ankle between the cartilage and bone. I'm okay though.
