well i was at this leadership camp with my crush and we were doing this cross the line game and the lady would say something and if you have been through it then you would like cross the line, and i was like crying forever cuz i was the only person who crossed the line on all but 2 bad things...and so my crush knew about my dad and how he's an abusive jackass, and one of the questions was have you ever been abused and my crush never has but he just held my hand walked across the line with me and told me that he lost the best daughter, friend, and all around person he'd ever know...
we went out for 2 years...and now were still like best friends

From my 5yo son, "You're the best Daddy in the whole, wide world." Being a single dad of two, this means everything. It makes what I do and what I've been through worth all the pain and struggle.

I was about 9 years-old and had made this kind of junky robot for a science fair that surprisingly functioned properly. Everyone said it was pretty good even though it looked terrible. I thought that they were just being nice but I got a ribbon for it.

I overheard one of my college professors talking with two other of my professors. He was unaware that I was within hearing distance. He told the others, "I just saw ------ teach a lesson to his peers. Gentlemen, he will be one of the greatest teachers we will ever graduate from this institution."
I always wanted to be a teacher, and that particular professor, unbeknown to him, was a model for me to follow. That happened 46 years ago, and I won't say he was correct, but I taught in the public schools for 40 years and loved every minute of it.

I've been lucky and received many great compliments over the years but my favorites are: "You're every man's dream girl." "You're very intelligent." "You are so pretty, I could look into your eyes all day and get lost there." And just last night - "You stand out in a crowd." :)

Well, this was close to it, but It won't due until my man flatters me. Some people love my skin tone, say it's all pretty-gloden tan. Oh, and that I have a big heart and will do great things in life, especially being a leader for my beautiful America, in our beloved armed forces.
