Well, since you personally saw something, then it must exist, and God can only tell the truth, whereas Satan is the Father all lies. Apparently you were told a lie. Whether you listen to the lie is up to you.

If God appeared to you - then God DOES exist, it would be foolish to listen to any advice that God doesn't exist.
If God does not exist, then he didn't appear to you,m and it would be foolish to listen to an impostor.
In either case - it would be foolish to listen to any advice that God foes not Exist. The beginning of wisdom, however, is to acknowledge that God does exist, and listen to what God actually DOES say.

Trust me, God appeared to me this morning & last night & through the night & yesterday, etc.... My God tells me that without faith it is impossible to please Him. Those that seek Him must believe that He Is, and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him. His name is I AM, YHVH ELLHYM EKD YHVH. The all time God. The Creator of heaven and earth.
There are want to be gods out there that will lie and tempt you to not believe in God the Creator. They are spiritual wickednesses. Read about our enemy and the armor we need in Ephesians 6.
The spirit that apeared to you is not the real God. He's a phoney. Test the Spirits to see if they are from God or are God. The Holy Spirit of Truth, a gift given to every born of God believer in Him, will give you discernment of a true or lieing spirit.
There is a commandment in the bible to cast down any imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Just say, to God, "I submit to you & your truth God." Resist Satan & Satan will flee.
