People constantly tell me when I should have children and I am 23 and married!

Everyone has an opinion and they want you to follow their advice.

I know when I finally have a child people are going to be telling me what they think I should do with my kids as far as education, daycare, haircuts, etc!

People think their way of parenting is THE way.

What is wrong with people like this??

It's life. Deal with it. You know you get all kinds of unwelcomed advice from friends, family, even strangers all throughout your life. Child bearing and child rearing won't result in any change of that. You'll choose to do whatever you and your spouse choose. Sometimes you will welcome advice. Look who you already came to for answers here!

I have a solution to the problem. People should be able to raise their children in their own way. I agree no one should tell you how to raise your kids. It is obvious that each child is different as are the way they communicate. There is no master plan handed down generation to generation. Which brings up my next point. The world is being ravished form the over 6 billion humans that are here already. As responsible adults who take responsibility for their actions. We need to figure out a way to control the reproduction of the human race. There are a lot of people out there that have no business having children. This seems really like a harsh way to deal with the problem of over population and bad parenting. We should have to file for a license to have children, witch requires parenting classes and employment for 5 years in a row. This would solve the problem right there, because then only responsible adults who don't need to be told what to do with their kids, will be the parents of the world.

I think as human beings, we all tend to believe that our way is the "right way" and we want to share with others what has worked so well for us. Ya know, to spare others the pain of making the mistake of not doing it our way, lol! Sometimes we want others to learn from our mistakes, too. For example, I had a baby at 19 and I'm always telling young girls to wait until they've done everything that they've ever dreamed of before becoming a parent. In all likelyhood, it's probably a waste of my breath because people do what they want to do anyway. When it comes to child rearing, people have very strong opinions and usually don't hesitate to share them. I think this is because it's human nature to protect little ones and we all want what we consider the best for them. Of course, what's best is always unique to each situation, but humans don't always see it that way :)

most people offer advice as a way to help others not make the same mistake they did. Of course there will always be those who offer advise because they like to hear them selves talk, and can't image a world that doesn't follow their rules.

I found that when I recieve an welcome guidance, that I do better if I just say thank you, I will try that. I don't....but they don't know, unless its my mother, and then I tell her, to let me be the mother.......lol

Yes, everyone wants you to benefit from the wisdom of their experience. They are actually well-intentioned, although I'm sure you don't see it that way.

You should probably just thank them for their advice and tell them that you have a plan. And you appreciate their concern, but you'll be all right.

Then go do whatever you were going to do to begin with.
