i got pictures back that i took the other day and almost all the pictures have red and white lines through them. does anyone know what might have caused that? i am not sure if its the camera or the film because its not consistant throughout the film. heres and example of it

That would be the photo lab that you went to. go back with your pictures, and tell them the problem, just make sure that you still have your negatives. They should fix that for free. they are suppose to check out the pictures on their computer before printing them. They sometimes get too busy to actually look at them.

thats very strange. it could be a couple things. maybe your film got exposed a little bit. that would explain the white area. the red line toward the top looks like an error in printing- looks like chemicals running, or the paper could have been exposed before printing. also think about something at the venue that could have caused this. red lights, bright flash, etc. carefully look at your negatives.

You are getting that cast because there is too much light of that color coming in at that specific point.

The red is caused because there is a red strobe light casting that color and your film is recording it. You can even see the light off to the left of the image.

The white appears because of two reasons. 1 your flash is being bounced back off of a really reflective surface or 2 your flash is out of sync with the camera.
