I, know stupid question. BUT, since the liberal argument has been that illegals do jobs that nobody else wants, what will happen? I suspect that all of the jobs will be filled by LEGAL workers.

The McDonalds in the town I grew up in employed mostly immigrants (I don't know if they were legal or not), simply because no one else wanted to work there, even high school kids. People complained that the workers didn't speak English well and accusations were made that they were all illegal (they probably were) and stealing american jobs, so the management fired all of them to please the customers. This made all the anti-illegals happy, until 6 weeks later when the restaurant shut down. They just couldn't find enough workers, especially during the day when high school kids were in class. In the end, everyone involved lost.
I didn't care, fast food is uber disgusting anyway. The irony though seemed to be that all the true "red-blooded americans" in my old town are now torn between their desire to rid their town of illegals and their desire to eat their way to heart disease since, of course, illegals work at all the other fast food places in town too. But people are afraid to say anything and risk losing the ever-precious KFC or Sonic. Meanwhile, the former McDonalds building remains abandoned, collecting no tax revenue for the community or employing anyone, illegal or not.

Well, I think the town of Hazleton are a bunch of hysterical, do gooders, who have nothing better to do than to go on an illegal alien witch hunt. Thank God I don't live in that town, I may be accused of being a witch and burned at the stake....

Teenagers used to do those jobs. It is hard to find jobs for teenagers now. I suspect people will commute for the chance.

there will be more jobs for highschoolers. when i was in high school i couldnt even get a job at mcdonalds.
