Duh... there are more than TWO people in the world. Keep looking for a smart one that doesn't smoke. Besides, if the smart one was REALLY smart, they wouldn't have started smoking in the first place, would they?!
BTW, I guess it would depend on YOUR personal preference. Do YOU care if someone smokes? If not, then it's all up to you.

Non smokers smell better, taste better and live longer. The smarts are not needed when the clothes are off. Doing that comes naturally. Keeping control of things is easier if the partner is not too bright. There could be problems when the children realize how dumb the partner is but no big thing. You can teach what you want and keep the arguments down by sheltering the partner from bad influences like friends and family.

It just boils down to the one you love the most. A smoker can quit smoking, a dumb person can't stop being dumb, and no smoking is not dumb, it cuts about 11 years off of your life, but those are the crappy years anyway.

First of all, not all people who smoke are absolutely unintellegent. They may have gotten addicted at a young age, or grew up around it. Clearly I would choose who I loved, but if it were a question of loving them the same and just choosing..the smoking smart boy.

i actually had to make this decision a few years ago. seriously. i chose the intelligent smoker, and we're still together after 5 years. you can choose to quit (or not) smoking, but you can't choose to be intelligent.

The smoker cause if they are intelligent you can probably convince them over time to quit. It is really hard to make a dumb person smart.

since i am a smoker and my bf isn't
so, i think i would still choose my bf over all others.. but a smoking version of him - i'd like to have his baby :D

Are you under the later category? I believe the true question is one you must ask you self. Cognitive procedures do not support lethal actions. The fact that you have chosen to question your addiction indicates that you have circumspections concerning your habit. Nevertheless, your heedfulness of circumstances and potential consequences is admirable and diliniates a mature attitude.

A dumb non-smoker. Smoking is a major turnoff for me.
