you should let someone do it who knows what they are doing.

It can make your hair more brittle and dry, causing it to break easier, and leading to frizzier hair. And of course putting chemicals on your hair damages it. I sometimes wish I'd never dyed my hair because 'once you pop, you can't stop'... Roots are a pain in the a$s sometimes, especially if you're going a colour that is quite different to your natural colour - and if you're lazy with your hair, you probably won't always be on top of doing your roots. If you're happy with your natural colour, don't do it. If you're just looking for a 'change', try getting a new style, because that grows out, or can be fixed if you're not happy, far easier and less damaging than dye.
Yes your natural colour will come back, but growing it out is terrible!! You didn't say which colour you are and are thinking of going? My best friend is naturally blonde, but she's a bit of a 'rock chick' and decided to dye her hair BLACK... big mistake! (Please don't do that..) But as her roots were coming through, she'd dye it a lighter stage of brown...so she had a sun rise on top of her hair - it was pretty funny! And for me, I have naturally dirty blonde/light brown hair, and I dye it dark dark brown, so in bad light when my roots are coming through, they look a little grey (and I'm 17 lol) - also a pain in the booty! Lol
Good luck with whatever you decide, but if you're not that bothered, I'd say don't do it. Save yourself and your hair the hassle.

Yes it defiantely does. I've been dying my hair for 3 years now. My hair has changed drastically. It also depends on the color that your dying your hari. My hair was a dark brown and I've been dying it blonde for 3 yrs. now. So since the colors are drastically different it changed my hair. But if the color change isn't that drastic it most likely won't dramatically change the texture of your hair.

If you bleach it yes the stucture will change by becomeing more delicate, darker shades coat your hair so it won't do as much damage as bleaching but the outlook is totally worth it if your hair can stand it and it's done correctly I suggest you experiment with streaks first just in case it does change for the worst.

When putting color in your (darker than your natural color) it conditions your hair. When stripping your color (lighter than your natural color) it can dry it out. With the proper care your hair can still be healthy. Yes your natural hair color will come back when it grows out. A professional stylist should be able to dye your hair back, so close to your natural color, you won't notice the new growth. If you don't like the new color or when the new color grows out so much and you want to go back.

Yes, you'll damage it if you bleach it. If you're going darker than your natural color, you probably won't damage it. With highlighted hair, the hair becomes dry and coarse more easily than usual. You have to use special shampoos and conditioners.
it's a bit of a pain.
Yes, your natural color would return.
