My parents have owned a 2003 Ford Focus since.. well.. 2003. We all like it except for when traveling long distances with lots of luggage and three people it can get kind of cramped. It runs just fine. We normally get about 25 miles to the gallon with just back and forth to work and school city driving. The only problem we have had is the check engine light came on and there seems to be no problem with the engine, the car is very durable seeing as we ran over a semi tire with it and it only busted the plastic panel under the front bumper. I would recomend this car to anybody that likes compacts, wants something durable and cheap, and doesn't need to much room.

Thank god, no. Actually the newer ones are all right (well, as all right as a Focus can be) but the first couple years had a lot of bugs that needed to be worked out and were recalled all the time. I'd just stay away from the older ones.

I have a 2003 Focus and I absolutely love it. I have had no problems with it and it runs as well today as it did when I first bought it. My only objection to it is that while the gas mileage is good, it's not great, but I also drive like a bat out of hell, so that's partially my fault. It's a great little car and very fun to drive. It would be a great car for you if your looking to buy one. I would recommend it.

I have one.. actually 2.
One 2003 ZTW.. Crashed it and totalled in Dec 2005.
Bought another one 06 ZX5. (tried many other mades, but focus still the best)
I am doing about 630km/tank (53Liter).. pretty good.
I have no problem with the 03 as well as 06

I like junky cheap cars...don't mind them one bit...in fact I own 5 crappy bucket-of-bolts...BUT...
I rented a Focus for a week not long ago on a trip...and let me tell you...it was a miserable, wretched car. If somebody gave me one and paid the gas and insurance...I wouldn't drive it.
And I don't mind other Fords one bit.

The best and really fun.
About 25 or 30 on the highway.
No problems whatsoever.

My husband and his twin both have a focus. They love them. Go to focus fanatics, it's a website, and look around to see if you can find any tips from people who own, take care of, and acutally enjoy their cars.

I had one for about,,,, 5 minutes. it was a loaner from the dealership when my mustang went in.... my boyfriend screamed bloody murder he hated it. Personally i thought it was a cute little car lol

hell no....my mom tried to buy me ford fuckus...lol but I was like hell no! so my daddy bought me a beamer aka BMW now that is a good car and I love her. I named her Bailey BMW!
