we live in germany, and my son goes everyday from 930-2pm (but he could go from 7am) for $100 a month, (80 euro). it's so much cheaper here, the more kids you have enrolled the CHEAPER it is and it's the same price whether they go everyday or just one day a month. but i think what you are paying is pretty darn good for the states.

Around here it is about $3/hour for the first child with the second at about $2. That sounds like about what you are paying. Once you have added in the cost of a car, lunches, work clothes, higher tax rate, etc you are spending an awful lot of money to be able to work. Unless you're making upwards of $12-15 /hour you probably aren't even breakikng even. I highly reccommend staying home to care for your kids. You'll be amazed at how easy it is to cut costs to be able to afford this.

I pay $163 a week for a 6 year old during the summer. It's a total rip off, but I have no choice.

I pay $150 every two weeks so about 300 monthly.........maybe you should find a daycare that has cheaper rates!
