In my left foot, I've noticed pain that is arount the "knuckle" of my big toe (the root of the toe, not where it bends). I mainly notice the pain when I live my toe towards the ceiling. Any common problem that causes this pain and simple treatment?? Started taking anti-inflammatory meds, but that's hit and miss. I think this kinda of hit me from running and riding 4-wheelers and dirt bikes about a month ago.

Gout? King Henry VIII had this, apperently rich living... see the quack you may need a small op or a draining...

I this is a bunion then again... see doc as above really...

With gout it is a type of acid crystal around the joint... and it hurts, you can live with it for a while, but sooner or later, you are gonna know about it...

I bet you want too crack it out, i bet you sit there twisting it about, trying to relieve the pressure...

if you have ever dropped a large rock on your toe, this could be coming back to haunt you also!

My friend has tried all types of med... it's just one of those, the pain seems just to be numbed until you start to walk around again!

Make sure your shoes are straight off when you get in, take your slippers to the office!

wish you well!

Check to see if the bone on the side of your big toe is protruding a bit. If so, then you are probably starting to get a bunion. When the bone begins to curve, possibly form tight shoes or being athletic, it causes pressure around the base of the toe, therefore causing pain when you lift or bend the toe. There are many different splints you can buy, or see an orthopedic.

Could be build up of uric acid causing gout. Cut out the red meat, spices, sweet soft drinks & alcohol for 21days. Increase water intake to flush the toxins. Lemon, lime, cranberry, are some of the juices good for this. Take at least 12 oz. of apple juice daily for intestinal toxins. Increase vegetable intake.

Check your shoes. Be shure the sole and heal are balanced.

Elevate your feet. Soak feet in epsom salts.

Try soaking it in Epsom salt and warm water. Epsom salt is like the God of all muscle and joint pain. Try it. It's pretty cheap too. You can get a quart of it at like Target or K-mart , Walgreen's. You'll spend like $5. It's also helpful for many other things as well.
