If you had your first child after you turned 30, do you wish you started earlier to have children?

Why did you wait so long?

Looking back how do you feel about it?

Wait so long? Do you have any idea how many women have kids after 30?? Do you really think we should have them at 18 or 21? ACK!

I had my 2nd daughter at 33 and I feel fine about it. Started earlier? No way! There is alot I wanted to do before taking on the responsibilty of children.

Yes i wished that I could have had my child at an earlier age. But I am so happy that I have her now. I didn't wait I had several miscarriages and tubule and was told that I would never be able to have any kids. I realize that I don't have the patients that I had when I was younger and can only hope and pray that I am able to keep up as she grows. I do find that I spend more money on her so spoiling is higher because of money saved over years. I do not regret that I had her at 30 because she is the light of my life and my miracle.

I had my daughter when I was 35. I was told I could not have children. Imagine our surprise. She turn 19 in May and I have not regreted one day, not even one moment. I feel blessed and I thank God everyday for her. She and I have a great relationship. She calls me everyday three or four time a day, and she never hangs up the phone without telling me. "I Love You". We are waiting right now by the phone for a call. She is about to make my husband and I Grandparents. (A little girl). Do I wish I had had her earlier? No. I would not trade what we have for the world and neither would she. This is from her mouth.

I had my first child at 33. In no way do I wish I had children earlier. Before 33 I was more self-centered, less financially responsible and stable....hadn't found Mr. Right.

By 33 I already had a prosperous career, had traveled the world, done some "wild" things....I came to parenting with more life experiences and no lost opportunities.

You have to do what is right for you.

well i had my first child at the age of 23, & we were not ready to become parents at that time i was still living with my mom & my baby brother. we were all seperated after my farthers death & it was years later before we all were back together once again. i am very happy how things worked out in the end & never did look back my daughters father he abandond us more less. but i was thankful that i had my mother in my life around that time for support. i had my second child at the age of 37, & now my life is complete this is my second marriege & we have been married for 17 1/2 years my daughter is 22, now & my son is 10, & i am still young at heart & very healthy i'm not a grandma yet. i am just enjoying the time that i do have with my kids regardless how young, or how old i was when i became a mother i am very happy that they are in my life today.

Well, I didn't. I had mine at 20 and 22. I am glad I didn't wait as children take a lot of energy. I am now 28 and actually think I may be pregnant. While I welcome another child, I also am thinking I hope I have the energy to keep up with another one! With work, gymnastic and Tae Kwon Do lessons for the kids as well as being a good wife I am always on the go.

This is not an answer to your question.. but plz don't report, as it's actually the other side of the story which might interest you too: my mom got me when she was going 40... and I really wish she had me earlier, as, I think, the generation gap is too big!
