I was just concerned because I don't want any of my dog to get sick from the cruddy water and bacteria thats at the beach.

if it is salt water , i wash them the next day, the salt is good for fleas,. and drying up any cuts ect the dog may have, if your dog went in the water then i would think he wouldn't mind a hose down

Yes - if the water is contaminated, give him a bath with shampoo. If he was in clean salt water or a chlorinated pool, just rinse him off with plain water.

If it is salt water I always bathe my dog. If it is fresh water and we are going back tomorrow, I do not.

I would think so. Your dog must be full of sand and salt water.

definaly and also brush thier theeth to make sure none of the water is in thier stomach.bursh thier hair and do one pass looking in thier hair and check for ticks

I am not sure, but i would just incase and also to get the sand off of them so they don't get rashes and cuts.

You probably dont *have* to wash them but they'll stink to high heaven if you don't.
