Do you guys beleive that you are saved by Grace and Grace alone, or do you beleive that you are saved by Grace, according to your faith? If so, how do you perfect your Faith?

Just to add to the question: Since we are saved by Grace, through Faith, as outlined in Ephesians, than wouldn't a more perfect Faith invoke a higher level of Grace? And how would we perfect that Faith? Various teachings in the Bible would suggest that, if one were to have a perfect faith he would live the teachings of Christ perfectly. So, doesn't that than suggest that to have a perfect Faith in Christ, that we would have to live his teachings perfectly? So in other words: We are saved by Grace, through Faith, which Faith is perfected by works. Is that correct?

Eph 2:4-6
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved.
NIV

I am saved in Jesus, by His blood through Grace. That I can stand before God on the Great Day of Judgment, covered with the Righteousness of the Blood of the Lamb.

I perfect my faith, by walking out my salvation with fear and trembling. Leaning not on my understanding, but through prayer and supplication of my Father in heaven.

You are saved by grace in accordance to your obedience of God's salvation plan as outlined in Acts Chapter 2. The faith comes as knowledge increases through the Word.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Ephesians 2:8

In other words, nothing we can do will save us. Instead, we have to place our faith in God that He will save us. It is His Grace that He bestows and not our work that saves.

Edited: As I said earlier, there is nothing we can do to save our selves. Only God can. He does not bestow more grace on one person just because they have a more perfect faith. Instead, each is measured out the same. While it may appear that some people have more than others, God realizes who can handle what, and what they need for them to be close to him.

You are saved by Grace through faith. If you didn't have faith, you wouldn't receive the grace, because you wouldn't have sense enough to ask for it.

I believe that we are saved by grace! The definition of grace is "a share in God's love." If it wasn't for this love that Christ gave to us in dying on the cross, we would not be here today!

you are saved BY grace THROUGH faith.
we are only humans and we cannot perfect our faith, it is something that will become stronger the more we study and search for God and the more we rely on him, but we will never have perfect faith.

man thats a good question. i believe john 3:16 as probalby everyone else does, but jesus saidmy sheep hear my voice, i know them and they follow me. he also told the rich man to take up his cross and follow him but the rich man couldnt he couldnt part with his earthly materials. the book of james talks about faith without works is dead. basically the faith that saved you is the same faith that changes you true conversion has works. think of it like this my sheep hear my voice once your saved is his voice tellin you to continue on living like the devil lol i dont think so. it tells us to be more christ like so there is the other part of the vers they follow me. the fact you have the desire to be more christ like shows that he knows you cause up until your conversion jesus didnt know you. think of faith without works is dead. if you get saved on sunday and monday thru saturday you live like the devil then youd have to wonder if they was saved to start with jesus also said you say you love me but in your works you deny me if you love me keep my commandments. grace is unmerited favor we dont have to do nothing to recieve it just believe (ex. john 3:16) but the deamons also believe the seperation is the works you may fail at every thing you do but God looks at the heart he knows how you feel. you dont have to succeed at being a christian to make it to heaven but you do have to try. some people get saved on their death bed then they die they might not have a big list of things they done in life as far as works are concerned but the first thing on the list they have is they repented. repenting of your sins is a work and repenting to God is an act of faith. just remember God is more please with the effort rather than the result if you try to please him from the heart and it doesnt work out is God disappointed? no ofcourse not we get so down on our selves for failure when if we could see it God is probalby up in heavin dancin, clappin, and shoutin just because we tried. your faith is perfected by growing in grace and knowledge of the lord.

Seriously, I think you need to reword your question. When it is your time to die then, that is that. No one is gonna save your a*s. You can pray to whomever you want to and it doesnt mean your going to heaven or hell.....

Grace? Who is Grace? Did you have enough Grace when you asked this silly question?

Come'on.......Give me a break. Yep, but I am sure you can handle the truth.....Good Luck!
