Absolutely. Why can't he see that making use of aborted fetuses and abandoned embryos would be a good thing that could help thousands if not millions of people, rather than the materials going to waste. If he approves federal funding for SCR, it's not going to cause the abortion rate to increase.

Objection your honor. Leading the witness.

Why dont you present your question without the taint of your narrow-minded liberal opinions and try to get a sense for what people really think? Rather than trying to tell them what they should think.

Yes, I think it's a mistake to veto the bill for funding of stem cell research. Yes, I'm a backer of stem cell research.

But to say that by vetoing stem cell funding, Bush is condemning millions to death is narrow minded and short sighted.

We've got 1,000 years of medical science on our side to cure these ailments. And hundreds of millions of dollars of funding. And there -IS- still plenty of availability of good stem cells for research purposes.

Not to mention the fact that in Europe, where Stem Cell research isn't AT ALL restricted... scientists have still NOT found any way to do anything productive with these things. Bush or no Bush... the people you're accusing him of murdering... will all be DEAD LONG BEFORE Stem Cells are capable of curing anything.

basically yes, haha AMDG believes that there is no 100 percent proof that stem cell research can help others, however no modern medical practices have a 100 percent success rate, everything starts out as a theory and turns into potential benefits, so if AMDG wants to limit medical science then thats his/her choice, but if he/she benefits from any sort of modern medical science then she is being hypocritical because almost everything we've learned today has been controversial in the church, hell gravity was condemned by the church...now why would they go and do that

Embryonic Stem Cell research has no 100% proof that it can cure anything only theories. However, to get embryonic stem cells it is a guarantee that you have to murder someone.

The question then becomes, is it o.k. to murder someone with the idea of curing a disease? The answer is NO.

Wrong discussion board but correct.

It is true that there has only been slow progress in this field but how would airplanes, motor cars, computers and telephones have progressed if in their early stages research into them had been suppressed for "religious" reasons??

Ever hear of the Amish? Nice people and I respect their right to live like that but I want my life to be a bit more advanced.

to the forst part...yep a total and complete moron....anyone that voted for him should be ashamed.
Vetoing stem cell research is due to lobbying from the Christian right, and they will hold back helping mankind just as they have been holding themselves back by following dogma that is a lie.
