It's been a long onth and a half.... and without any book (or any terms to look up) I wasn't sure how to go about doing this. If you have any links to a website explaining how to do this, that would be great too.

ok first set both things in parantheses equal to 0.

1) x+3 = 0
x= -3

2) x-4 =0
x=4

so the solution is -3,and 4

for the product to be zero, either or both terms must be zero. should be easy from here on out......
