The Coast Guard fixes 2 types of fixed wing aircraft: C-130 & HU-25 Falcon.

I know they don't have fighter jets, but if i had the chance to fix those fighter jets, do you think i'll be able to fix them from the training the CG gave me?

I guess what i'm saying is if i know how to fix C-130's & HU-25 Falcon's which are both fixed wing, will i be able to work on other types of Aircraft when i get out the Coast Guard?

Yes. While in, you can get you A&P and also your apprenticeship program completed. You'll be a journeyman with an A&P. Of course to complete these is entirely on you. It will be almost completely free for you, but it will take effort on your part to complete.

Yes. You will just have to get on the job training. I joined the FBI after the Army and the only 2 things these jobs have in common are that I carry a side arm.

depends on if you are talking about fixing engines or aircraft frames and skins?

I wanted to add that the Coast Guard is a forgotten branch of our military... a big thanks to all those who serve in her selfless ranks... great men and women who choose to risk their lives to save others without the glory of the other branches...
