I try not to lump all Christians into one category. I definitely understand there are extremists Christians who do not fall in line with the true teachings of Christ or with the morals of Christianity in general.
I am human, so I am sure that I have inadvertently lumped them all together at some point, and I do apologise for those instances in which I have.
However, I don't hold all Christians to act better than human. I hold them to act the same as I would expect anyone else to act: tolerant of others, yet firm in their beliefs. I welcome their opinions and their beliefs in an environment of discussion and tolerance - because understanding breeds tolerance.
I think a few Christians put themselves in a position where they set themselves up for being held to a high standard by others when they judge others or preach intolerance and hate. However, I don't hold those Christians to higher standards, I hold them to the supreme standard - God. When they act like they are God, when they judge like God, when they command others like God, I feel I should hold them to the same standard - perfection.
That said, there are many many Christians who are wonderful people, walk closely in the footsteps of Christ, and follow his teachings as nearly as humanly possible. Those Christians have my utmost respect and admiration. Christ taught wonderful morals, he taught tolerance, and he taught love for everyone. There is no better teacher of basic human morals than Christ.
For that you have my respect and my condolences for those "Christians" who defame and slander an otherwise admirable faith.

First, dispel the myth that Christians aren't perfect. They just try to hold themselves to a higher standard.
I agree they should walk the walk-but they're only human and they're subject to temptation while here on earth. No one will be perfect until they reside in heaven.
On earth, Christians can only be an example of what Christ is. But they can never be exactly LIKE HIM.
There are many denominations who call themselves "Christian" but really aren't. Perhaps that is what you are talking about.

the individuals you've been carefully programmed to call "liberal" are some thing yet. What they're is neo-bolshevists who locate the biggest parts of what the former KGB used to call "functional idiots" among the ranks of those who imagine they could like liberalism and choose somebody else to tutor 'em the way it is finished so that they ought to no longer ought to get *their* fingers grimy. See? it is like a form of echo of what you're utilising at right here. Oddly adequate, many of the individuals who're those neo-bolshevists exploiting the liberal-sorta/wanna-bes are of an similar extraction you're suggesting we ought to always ask no matter if warfare serves any purpose. bypass parent! The snake bends round and starts eating it is personal tail. it truly is your homework: search for which U.S. president initially recognized the state of Israel, and then do somewhat better in-intensity analyze and see in case you'll detect the favorite quote attributed to him on the nature of those human beings whose status as a rustic he'd examined.

Let me address another issue in your question. You do not like the hypocrisy of the people calling themselves Christians and not being good christian. Being a good christian in all spheres of life is an eternal struggle for any human. They will fail many times, in many aspects of life. Do not judge them, their struggles are some of the biggest battles they will ever fight. If possible learn something from their willingness to voluntarily take on that struggle and persevere in it. If you cant let them be and move on with your life:) There are already enough complications in it.

Christians are called to strive to live a purer life, to follow Christ and deny oneself. Take it as you will. We are called to follow His example not our own selfish whims.Man of us fall short, all of us make mistakes. It is in getting up and trying again that makes the difference.

Because if you're going to practice a religion that follows Jesus, then you need to follow through and act as Christ-like as possible.

There is a saying I heard once, and I'm gonna pass it along here:
"If you let a hypocrite get between you and God, that can only mean he is closer to God than you are."
It's awfully hard to trip over something unless it is in front of you...
