Why do little kids like to hurt people?

Toddlers have really spontaneous emotions they often don't know how to deal with. Almost every child goes through a phase where parents have to correct them over and over about less violent and more appropriate ways to deal with anger.

Also, children are born self-centered, literally. The human brain is incapable of seeing things from another person's point of view until about age 6. That's why parents often have to remind a child, "How would you feel if someone hit you?"- they just didn't think about the effect their actions have on others.

Of course, there are some people that never learn (or are never taught) appropriate outlets for negative emotions, which is why there are so many people in jail for "crimes of passion"- like murdering someone in the heat of the moment just because you were mad.

Little children are cruel yet innocent at the same time. They can be so pure and innocent, yet at the same time be the cruelest without even knowing it themselves.

because they are not properly disciplined to respect others, usually tormenting of animals is the begining and it can lead to violent crimes later.
Love and discipline go hand in hand when applied properly, the child learns to appreciate and respect others.
